Description:
The same hull has the 31’ Commander, but a different deck layout and interior. Basically, more of a large day cruiser than a cabin cruiser. Advertised as a 40mph “swifty.” Twin berths, and private head. Galley and dinette units under the hardtop were optional (and very cool). Most have the optional Command Bridge but there are hardtop versions around. Second only to the 31’ Commander in terms of numbers built. Name changed to “Sports Cruiser” at one point.
Note: In 1967 these boats were introduced and called Commander Sports Express. FSA hull numbers were used. Approximately in 1972, CC management changed the name slightly to Sports Cruiser. A price list from October 1972 lists it as a Sports Cruiser. Same boat. New name. Bridge or no bridge was not the distinction. (Most had bridges.)
