Welcome To The New Discussion Forum!

The problem with the original garboard plug from Chris was the size of the fitting which was no longer available (It was a weird size) and since they were filling that hole anyway decided not to redrill at the advice of the yard. Use a hole saw or a forstener NOT a spade (Spliters and not a clean hole) I personally use 4200 above the water line and 5200 below (Something that won't need removal). Finally using a shop vac to evacuate water in an engine room on gas boats is highly explosive and not suggested. Hope this helps.
