Well we live in arkansas.... yes long way from the coast.... or the great lakes .. I've noticed since becoming a member of this group their is a lot of cc vessels... and we have a 336 commander.. with two crusader 454.. and a 6.5 genset.. the previous owner said it had been locked for 9 yrs.. got it unfroze.. and cranked.. this cc is remarkable we love it picked it up at tampa..went down on a christmas.. stayed on it in the bay... we used to have a houseboat and kids got on it and the next night it burnt... upset wasn't the word.... bit we took the insurance money and bought morning star... Robert G had it.. used to be up in NY and he said they used to go up the Hudson to the great lakes it has everything a person would want a boat.. and when we left before new years.. I seen a sign for trl manufacturing... so I pulled in.. told him what slip and what it was and would like a quote for a trl to be built.. well about a week later I got a call and he quoted 5500.... but for 500 more he could add a third axle and put breaks on all three axles.... I told him hell yes... and we went down on valentine 's picked up the trl went to marina and they towed the boat over he barnacles all over it so we had to get someone to scrape it.... found a guy... recommended the marina...$100 to scrape it.... loaded it on the trl had to make one adjustment... and headed home so between the boat and the trl we have less than $12,000... and we're still getting it ready to put in the water... after my wife retires we want to spend a few weeks in the gulf... and then put in a lake up by our house..going to get the bottom reworked... and painted...... oh well that's our story with the morning star....glad to be in this group..... and I haven't found another boat like ours... nowhere on the web....a 336 commander with a radar arch... and radar.... the bath room is going to need reworked... it is set up to be out of US waters and dump the human waste overboard.. so going to put a tank somewhere down below....it is tight with twin crusader 454... but I'll find a place...
