I have a beautiful boat that I must let go; I'm 73 and just can't keep up w/the maintenance. The hull is what you expect; heavily layered fiberglass in excellent condition. I installed a windlass w/a pulpit off a 28' Phoenix, had some beautiful teak wood work done around windows and door to cabin. Engines run, but need manifolds and risers. Port transmission needs rebuild/replace. 3 good batteries; house bank and starting. She is currently in a boat yard in Greenwich, CT., and must be gone by June 15. She is the perfect project for you if you have the time, money and motivation. She has been recently rewired throughout. Asking $5,000. All offers considered.

I have a intact 35 salon sn: FBA35014, MINUS engines, for sale. Started work a few years ago, and, have since let it sit. Its one of 25 made and have most of the documentation, manuals. 500 gal diesel with 200 gal freshwater.

Engines are ultra-reliable Detroit 8V71N's with 1700 hrs each. Boat reaches 8.5 kt hull speed at only 1250 rpm. Fuel consumption is 8.5 gal/hr with the Onan 12 Kw genset running.

Built in Algee-X fuel polishing system.

Cablemaster shore power cable retraction system.Stepdown galley features electric range, microwave, full size refer/freezer and trash compactor.Accommodations are V-berth forward and full aft cabin with king bed. Both with their own full heads and separate vacuflush systems.

She is in great shape - she lived on Lake Superior for 55 years, until last year when I brought her down to MS. Twin CC 327 V8's - shows 2200 hrs, but PO said the engines were rebuilt at about 1400 hrs. Took me three weeks to bring her down the MS River to Columbus and the engines burned less than half a qt each. Recently added a water heater, 9k MarinAire Air Conditioner, Blue Seas 110v breaker panel and new elec toilet. Also added a 1000 watt inverter, powered by two 12 v batteries, that will run the fridge and TV at anchor. She hops up on plane easily! Interior mahogany and cushions are in great shape. Very well maintained and extremely loved 42' for sale. Life has decided to change our course, and we have decided to give her another family to love.

Currently in heated storage in Whitehall MI. She has been in Heated storage every year since she was laid. 42 Reasons' is a Great Lakes boat, though fitted for open water. I have plenty of pictures and info to send if you are SERIOUSLY interested in getting to know her. As you will see in the pictures, she is in far better shape than most 58 year olds :)

The boat's been completely repainted with alexseal paint.

The stripes have been changed to black with gold trim. The headliner throughout the yacht is all original and it's a 10. All the wood on the inside is original and it's all near perfect

It's powered by twin Detroit 671's which the port side has been rebuilt and has 270 hours and the other engine has 700 original hours so these are extremely low time diesel engines.

38 Commander Sportfisherman w/twin 1979 Perkins T6.354 6 cylinder turbo diesels with less than 100 running hours-run strong. Project boat, but solid Commander hull, topsides need new gelcoat, needs total restoration, but very good bones. My best friend and mechanic died of covid and I have decided to sell-my loss is your gain! I have (2) new 130 gallon custom aluminum fuel tanks(Florida Marine) set up to go in, along with numerous other items, which are negotiable. I know that the boat is in pretty rough shape as I know it has been sitting for quite a few years in the water. Was told that the engines two 350 small blocks and a generator are still in the boat.
