Beautiful restoration. I sympathise with you having to let her go. I too have a CC 38 Commander 1965. And after over 30 years of taking her around South Florida and mostly the Bahamas she too will likely have just this last summer with us. Bridge layout now has newer chartplotters and PC screens. Mine was a Sedan when I got her and turned her in the Bridge Model for the Bahamas. Cummins 355HP diesels. Good Luck with yur sale.
1968 31' Commander Express for Sale
She is in great shape - she lived on Lake Superior for 55 years, until last year when I brought her down to MS. Twin CC 327 V8's - shows 2200 hrs, but PO said the engines were rebuilt at about 1400 hrs. Took me three weeks to bring her down the MS River to Columbus and the engines burned less than half a qt each. Recently added a water heater, 9k MarinAire Air Conditioner, Blue Seas 110v breaker panel and new elec toilet. Also added a 1000 watt inverter, powered by two 12 v batteries, that will run the fridge and TV at anchor. She hops up on plane easily! Interior mahogany and cushions are in great shape. This Commander will be available March 1st as it is at the tail end of a restoration
The boat's been completely repainted with alexseal paint.
The stripes have been changed to black with gold trim. The headliner throughout the yacht is all original and it's a 10. All the wood on the inside is original and it's all near perfect
It's powered by twin Detroit 671's which the port side has been rebuilt and has 270 hours and the other engine has 700 original hours so these are extremely low time diesel engines.

This is a really nice looking boat and diesels are a huge plus. As far as the price, I cannot offer an opinion on if it is a fair price but I can tell you it is priced well beyond the majority of boats that get listed on this site. The other item I will comment on is location. It would be awesome if a canal could be built from Washington to Lake Superior, making getting the boat to the great lakes or east coast much easier. Best of luck with the sale.

I was told today that a neighbor wants to get rid of his Ray Hunt TF. He is about 4 houses down across the canal from me. I know that the boat is in pretty rough shape as I know it has been sitting for quite a few years in the water. Was told that the engines two 350 small blocks and a generator are still in the boat.

1970 Chris Craft 31' Sportfish DISTRESS sale- $5000
I purchased this 1970 Chris Craft Sportfish approximately 6 years ago with plans to move to Manistee Mi. That move never happened and the boat has been stored indoors all of this time. Each year it was launched in the well at the marina and the engines were run for several hours as everything was inspected. It was then re-winterized and put back into storage. I have lost the indoor storage and would prefer to sell it at this time rather than continue this.
This 1970 hull has never been damaged, repaired or painted the fiberglass is in very condition. All structural wood in the hull appears to be mahogany and in very good condition. . The boat has always been used in the Great Lakes, no salt water. The engines are 327Qs. They start easily, no mechanical noise, no smoke, no leaks. I replaced all of the rubber hosesā¦

We have to regretfully find a place for this beautiful Chris Craft. We bought her last September and she got damaged in Shipping from Michigan to Lake Champlain by supposedly a reputable shipping company. The hard top just about departed the rest of the boat. The side windows in the cockpit were blown out. We canāt find anyone to fix it on Lake Champlain and we lost so much money already we just have to move on. The hull and interior are in pristine condition. Engines are 327Q with approximately 450 hours. We have a current survey available showing value at $25,000 before damage.

1972 Chris-Craft 45' Commander for sale in Marathon Florida for $ 29,900 US .
The vessel has been used as a live aboard the last 13 years with 5 months in a wet slip and the remaining 7 months "on the hard" annually. Her twin 8V53"s appear strong with little mechanical useage. While her 12kw 4 cyl Perkins/Kohler diesel Genset runs, it fails to Generate A/C current and as such, its value is reflected in the asking price.
The vessel is Heated and cooled with twin 16000 BTU HVACs now about 10 yrs old with one new cooling pump this year.
Her old cast iron mufflers have been replaced with new Centec units a few years ago including new pipes where necessary. Her Hynautic steering system has been rebuilt in the last year.
Her guest quarters have 2 bunks built for comfort with lots of storage.
She recently had a new electric toilet installed in the forward berth and a more quiet manual modelā¦
