KFL and KLC Hercules Marine Engines (single carb each)
Both engines came out of my '58 Chris Craft Sedan Cruiser, 28ft
Blocks:
- professionally machined/assembled, bored .030" over
- Van Ness Engineering supplied the new sleeves, valves, bearings/rods/pistons and incredible knowledge and experience to guide me through the rebuild process
- cylinder sleeves used to improve reliability
- local machine shop, with excellent reputation, performed all work assembly work
- blocks/heads hot-tanked
- ARP head studs/nuts/washers
- Professionally rebuilt and tested accessories (starters, generators, distributors, carburetors)
- Distributors and carburetors professionally tuned to each other and new components)
- Manifolds: hot-tanked and pressure tested
- new engine mounts
- new wiring and sensors and upgraded coils (engines will include aftermarket mechanical gauges used during break-in)
- Includes original Paragon 1XT transmissions, cleaned/flushed and inspected for any component wear
Both engines will be tested/broken-in on a wooden crib. Break-in performed in accordance with Penn Grade Break-in oil specifications. Drain, inspected and refilled with new oil

- primed and painted blue, almost identical to CCraft blue
