chris o vich 1957
hello fellow chris/craft owners. My name is Rob Hart,I live in New Zealand in the city of Whangarei.My brother and I own a 1957 CHRIS O VICH 38 foot sports fisher My brother imported this boat about 18 years ago from LA.The story is this boat is one of the first dedicated sports fishers chris craft ever made.Unfortunatly there was a court case with Rybovitch over the reverce sheer of the hull and window lines and Chris craft were fined 1 million dollars for each boat they produced,5 hulls.To find any information on this from Chris craft is very dificult,they simply think the boats dont exist If anyone can help with information on this I would be very gratfull.The boat is in good working condision with 2 new John Deer engines giving a cruise speed of 18 knots.Can upload photos if anyone interested. kind regards Rob

Have dug up some information and photos of our Chris craft called Prowler This appears to be design specs for the first 5 hulls PROWLER is hull 001
It looks like the 38 foot sports fisher was going to be a full on production model. Advertising is as follows

Have no information on the court case with RYBOVITCH .I suspect it was the reason only 5 boats were built.Hope someone will be able to help.
