Reading the hin...
Hello and hope all have a great and safe labor day.... im getting ready to start on my 336 commander again..and was just curious about reading the hin...ours is CCHEA125A686....... I just looked up the commander series... and they start with CCHEA... and it states their were only 250 made... and I guess we have 125th... dont know what the A6 is about... haven't found that info yet.... and im assume the 86 is the yr....thx
... Robert did a great job at keeping every piece of paper that came with every accessory he added... and found the blue print I guess of the boat and wire chart...
And still haven't found a 336 that is set up with the radar arch like he set this one up....with radar.. and it works.... i can hook it up and turn it on and see the storms that is around us... the pic of the 336 shows a the bimini but no arch
Well this makes about 4 times that ive tried to edit.... my fault.... but ok... I thought i was told the engines were crusader 454's... ive never paid attention to them... except they are huge... anyway... im cofused..... I was told they were crusaders 454...... but when I looked up the specs... they show two options.... mercrusier 260..... or 340.....is crusader a brand of mercrusier... if not im scratching my head on this one.... it has been under our boat shed as I call it.... a 50x18x15.... and it started out with only the boat....now it has a camper...... a tractor.....a 69 firebird...and the boat....but going to add a few pics....to let you see what im talking about in this autobiography......lol...... and fixing to pull out and preasure wash...
But thankful Robert took extra care of all the paperwork .... and i mean every thing that is on this boat has an owner's manual to go with it... and the blueprint of the wires... I know its an older boat but I was honored to get a... Chris Craft... ive always loved the way just sit in the water ... so majestic.... but if anyone can help explain some of the issues... thanks and have a great and save holiday weekend

Hi Charles!
That would be awesome if you could contribute electrical drawings. If you could have them copied and put in PDF format, I will e-mail instructions for e-mailing to me. You are one of the few members who has lots of documentation on a three digit Commander.
Charles wrote: I have a set of blueprints for this 1986 336 commander... so far ive figured out one page is the electrical part I think... if I remember correctly... they're about 7 to 10 pages... didnt know if their is a way to copy and send to you to add to the commander files.... the rest I think are of items that Robert added to it thru his term as captain of this vessel.... thx...I can take to a coping place that does large prints... each page is about 28x18.... and they have all items and where they go and where they come from...didnt know if someone might need if they're doing an update.. or if they might be the same as other commanders... thx
