@Tim Gressett I would shy away from brokers like Uship. I would go with a known Car transporter. There are a few nationally known carriers. Uship simply finds someone with a truck and trailer but does not provide credentials for them before pickup.

Not to be the pooper, just the informer. Make sure it has all the EPA coverages in case of a spill/sinking. You marina will advise you if it doesn't when they receive the COI. Just trying to help here. As a business owner, insurance has gotten ridiculous with the marinas (Safe Harbor Marinas in particular) My coverages have been increased several times in a year as a service contractor and I hear constantly from owners that they are getting notices of Increased coverages and waivers as well. Just fyi.

If they are Groco then yes. You just need the model number (Usually on the cap) and they are still in business. Good Luck.

Mercruiser Center riser gaskets and you will need blocker plates as those mans are closed cooling. All are available at Ebasicpower.com Text me for details if you need help. I know a little something about these. One gasket each side and a metal blocking plate in the middle.

We just found one that noone else in our area could seem to find. Simply, we set up a yard sprinkler and let it go do it's thing sweeping back and forth.. About 40 mins in we found the leak and it was a deck hatch that had been installed from the factory using "foam tape" instead of caulk and had aged out. Hope this will help you find it. Sprinklers are great tools.

@Tom Where is the support bracket? You are trusting the hoses to support the pump from turning if it locks up. I ask this because I had to have some made to fit the 454s. There is a tapped hole on the bottom of the pump for a bolt and the other end bolts to the block next to the timing cover with two bolts. Just beware because if it locks up and the hose tears off its a sinker hose.

@Greg Tom is a treasure of knowledge! He is right to send you to those pressure reliefs. Many posts on these in the archives. Those are designed to maintain a 2-3psi in the raw system to insure the block, heads, and manifolds stay full of cooling water. You might find another impeller fin lodged in one of them holding it open. Good Luck!!

I did one on a 38 Express "Northern Star". The pulpit was teak from Butler (Who makes our swim platforms) and the Windlass was a Lewmar. 38 and 42 are nearly identical for fitment of pulpit to deck with the step up area. Hope this helps.

Harpurs Marine at one time had a really nice kit for those with deck clearance issues. I installed one of these kits on a 410 and it was absolutely plug and play. It uses Mercruiser style Center riser manifolds with Harpurs adaptor for the risers and fiberglass tubes, hoses and clamps, to bring the discharge down and out as the original style mans did. Progressive Automations offers the electric/mechanical struts called Actuators. You just need to spec the length, stroke, and lifting weight. I order these quite often to replace vents on SeaRay's that need replacing. Very affordable as well. www.progressiveautomations.com

Don't cross ref with the CC part number. On the side of the mounting flange will be a number stamped in. Thats the number to search. They are readily available. Lee
