Remembering Patty Morland
Patty Morland, long time member and friend to many Commander Club members passed away in her home in Rochester, MN on August 10,2026. As many long time members are aware, Patty was the "better half" to Chris-Craft Commander Club founder Dick Morland. They attended every rendezvous until Dick’s passing. Over the years they made many long time friends. Many is the member who remembers Patty’s radiant smile, which was on prominent display at all of our club events. Dick and Patty have owned a bunch of boats, most of them Chris-Crafts and have also sailed the Great Lakes. Their beloved 38 Sedan Patty Wagon was arguably the best known boat in the CCCC. For their 47th wedding anniversary they became the proud new owners of the boat of their dreams - "Paddy Wagon", a pristine 1970 47' Commander.
We cherish the many years of memories. Our lives are richer having known Patty. She is enjoying some much calmer seas in the great beyond with Dick. We wish her well.
Patty, we bid you, "Hail and Farewell!" shipmate, until we drop anchor beside you at the Last Great Rendezvous.

It is with great sadness that we learned of Patty's passing. The very first time I met her Lynne and I had just walked quite a distance to the hotel in Bradenton, FL where we all met up for the very first Florida Rendezvous. We were parched from the Florida heat so Patti invited us back to her room where she kept a cooler full of cold Beer. We were most impressed when she showed us a wooden purse that Dick had made with the inscription "Patti Wagon". We were grateful for the Beer and her non assuming personality won us over instantly. We became instant friends! RIP Patty.........
