General Discussion

I have been in search of the source of a leak on my P 44 transmission, which is in a 1977 Commander 410. I recently noticed the leak is coming from the top of the transmission near the shifter. There’s a cap on top of the transmission and is leaking out of there. Was hoping someone could put me in touch with an individual that might be able to advise me as to repair. Upon searching this with AI I have been informed that there could be a O-ring that has degraded that is allowing transmission fluid to pass out that top. Any advice you can provide will be appreciated!
