42 12v wiring diagram… wire number translation needed.
I am looking to gain a better knowledge of the 12v on our 1967 42aft cabin.
I have the copy of the original wiring diagram for “cruisers over 38’”, and I also have a diagram that someone in the club produced a while ago in color with roughly the same info but easier to read (both from the archives/files of our club). Neither of these has a guide for the numbers on the wiring. Does anyone have such an animal for a 42?
I believe my boat is mostly original in terms of wiring, but without diving into the depths of the boat behind panels etc., it’s hard for me to figure out what numbers go where - if anything just to validate what I have and to have a better guide for the future.
My ultimate reason for this is to add an AC/DC fridge using a spare fuse…

Hi Lee! Thanks… I’ll probably give you a call. I had a guy on our dock give me some basics after showing him the pic. Your right, no house battery. Not the best setup, but trying to isolate house items would be a LOT of work. I figured that if it’s worked for 58 years… it’ll probably keep going. I will add a second battery on the house side (starboard) to give us a minimum 12 hour run for our new Isotherm AC/DC fridge. Was able to use a spare slot to wire it up.
I will start to catalog the numbers and hopefully be able to help someone else out in the future.
