Props for 36' Sports Cruiser/ 360
I am running 22"x24" props on my 1973 36' and I did a search and found that it appears i should be running 20"x20"??? Is this true? Am i running props TOO LARGE for my boat? this is potentially a 2" difference in diameter!??? It might explain why my boat struggles to get over 4000 rpms and doesn't seem to get out of its own way - the fastest I've achieved is 18 knots. These numbers seem WAY out of reach for me, and maybe its because i'm running the wrong props?

Hey Whitney, my 1972 36' Sports Cruiser was repowered in 2005 with small block Mercruiser's and ZF 63A-25 transmission (2.5:1) with the same HP as the factory 427's. I'm currently running 3 bladed 22D X 20P wheels on my boat with no issues achieving correct WOT RPMs.
