1977 Commander 410 bilge blower location?
I am trying to determine the original factory location of the bilge blower on my 410. Recently, I found a bilge blower mounted inside my starboard cabin wall which vents through the side hull engine intake panel. I’m not sure if this was the original factory set up. That blower was a flange style blower that was abandoned. Someone later installed an inline blower in the bilge which in use today. I am considering installing a new flange style blower (assuming this was the factory setup). I would like to install a blower that I could run continuously at times when I am crusing slow with little wind. Your insight and thoughts would be appreciated. Have others also upgraded bilge blowers so they can run for extended periods without overheating? Any suggested blower models?

Originals were the Peters and Russel (PAR) radial (flange mounted) blower. Jabsco bought them out and still sells two sizes for 3" and 4" hose. Whatever style you choose, flange mounted or in-line, blowers should always be mounted high in the hull.
