TCS Oil Pressure gauge issues after using ALARM TEST function.

This question goes out to those who have lived with the 1972+ TCS helm setup.

While underway at the lower helm last week I pressed the "ALARM TEST" button to check the if the alarms worked. All the alarm indicator lights worked and the alarms buzzers went off as expected. HOWEVER, my lower helm oil pressure gauges are now messed up and read at about 0psi when they should be indicating around 30psi. All other lower helm gauges are OK. The upper helm gauges work as intended when switched on, including the oil pressure gauges.

Any ideas as to what could have happened?

Interesting. I have never pushed that button on my 73 410. There is a schematic of this helm in the club files. Check there to see what the button does. Probably a couple relays involved. One may have failed, become stuck or similar. It is all relays and wires. Dirty contacts and push on wiring included. Good luck. Should yield to your investigation.
