Port Motor is in gear when I start it
For some reason my Port motor is in gear when I start it. We went out recently and I decided to open it up to air it o
ut and the port motor shut off. Now when I start it in neutral it takes off. It seems like something got jarred loose in the morse cable. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is my first Chris Craft.

It sounds like a transmission that is locked up in the clutch pack. With the motors off and the trans in neutral you should be able to turn the prop shaft, if not able to turn shaft then trans is bad.
