General Discussion

Thanks to a referral by Char Pike, I just had the privilege of delivering a 1987 Constellation 501 from Maryland to Charleston SC. The trip took six days running 10-12 hours a day at an average of 10 knots. The boat is equipped with twin Detroit 6V92 turbos. It probably could have run faster, but we didn’t want to stress the cooling system which had not been thoroughly cleaned out. This model has a great layout and is very comfortable. Handling was easy, although a working autopilot would have been nice.
