Question re stringers
Are the engine stringers on '69 sport Express cored with wood or are they solid fiberglass? Or are stringers comprised or constructed of other material?

Do you have a photo? Mine (66 Commander 38) has all-fiberglass stringers and they're hollow. However, glassed to the top of my stringers are four giant blocks of fir -- two per side. For 60 years they've supported the two giant 1300lb big block Ford motors and they're still going strong. I keep them painted, too.
