Lancer 23 prop specs
I have a 1976 Lancer 23 with the original Chris Craft small block Chevy 350. There was a 15 x 15 rh prop when I bought the boat. A few years ago I replaced it with a different prop specs someone on thiis forum recommended. The current prop feels like it is lugging at 4000 to 4400 rpms at wot and never reaches a gps top speed of 25 knots. What should I be seeing for a top speed with this rig?

Assuming an inboard (Tunnel Drive/Shal-O-Drive), Chris Craft originally specified a 15x16 Super Cup. I think you should be well into the 30's for top speed. Have you considered the transmission could be 'slipping'?
