Oil pressure sending unit
I have 871 Detroit in my 45 commander the oil pressure alarm went off the other day so I replaced the oil pressure sending unit the alarm Is now silenced but my pressure gauge reads over 100 psi at idle then it goes back down to 45 pounds roughly when I’m cruising speed do you think maybe I picked up a bad sensor

Thanks Joe the new sensor is stamped 100 psi I’m gonna go back to the parts department see what I can do
