Adding an autopilot to my 38 Express
I would like to add an autopilot to my 38' Commander. I have no idea how to proceed
Does anyone have any experience doing this?

The steering isn't chain or hydraulic (no fly bridge) it has a steel rod or pipe that turns from the gears on the steering wheel down to the bilge. Then it transfers the motion forward and aft by use of another pipe then transfers the motion port and starboard for rudder movement.
