1973 CC Commander 41 Hynautic System
After 32 years I thought I was familiar with most systems on this boat, but I have a question as I'm troubleshooting an issue with hydraulic steering. Where is the 'relief valve with purging screws' usually located? I can locate the reservoir in the engine room and each of the helm pumps on the lower and upper stations . . . but the manual identifies this part of the system for purging air and filling the highest part of the system. I need to add fluid as the upper helm needs a good purge and more fluid.

Thanks for the suggestions. I found it on the inside transom behind an access panel under the sink cabinet. It appears to be undisturbed in 53 years. Air pressure dropped over last winter, pumped it up to 30psa at the reservoir and it's been holding, thought the steering has lag and will not hold course when underway. I see the Hynautic directions call for loosening those top bleeder valves and turning the helm to pump added fluid throughout the system.
