Propeller Sizing Question
I have a 1967 Commander 47 with the Detroit Diesel 8V53. I'm having to replace the propellers on it and I haven't ran the boat since purchase so I don't know how well the stock size work. Stock this used 23x22x1.5 propellers and I heard Chris Craft did a nice job with sizing. I'm questioning if I should change this at all and I'm wondering if others with the similar year 47 can give some feedback on the propeller sizing and performance seen.
The 1967 seems to be one of the lighter versions of the Commander 47 line where the weight dry I think was around 29k lbs. It doesn't have the fly bridge and also it only holds 275 gallons of diesel. This seems like one consideration for the pitch.
Can someone share their observations from their boat? Thank you for any insights.

We purchased brand new from General Propeller Company out of Bradenton, FLA. These ppl know their stuff and can answer any and all questions you may have. We went with a four blade which they pitched properly, and included nut key sets . Arrived UPS within a week of ordering. Highly recommend!
