1971 42’ Commander Head Upgrades
Hello, my wife and I just purchased our first Chris Craft. A real dream boat! One of the first items on my list is to upgrade the heads. I have no knowledge of the original system still installed, but was told the head units flush into a holding tank as well as recirculate. I have to go look at everything closer, but I’m uncertain if there is a cap for using a pump out station. Has anyone updated one of these systems before in here that could offer some advice? Thank you!

Our '76 47' has the holding tank glassed into V of the hull as you enter the engine room. I don't recall how many gallons but it holds plenty. Our original system was replace at some point by a previous owner with a Headhunter system. Works off water pressure, requires 40lbs, and two air pressure tanks of 30lbs. Most of the lines to the tanks were replaced with PVC pipe. A jet of water takes care of the flush. Not sure if they have changed the system but it is simple and does't use much water.
