Overflow coolant reservoir loses coolant on 1977 Commander 410
The starboard coolant reservoir on Crusader empties while underway but the main coolant tank on engine maintains coolant at the top of the coolant cap opening. I know this might seem to be a heat exchanger leak issue at first glance, but the engine coolant level in the tank maintains its level at the cap opening despite the overflow container losing coolant. Thoughts?

This Is a common Issue. My question Is "Does It come back Into the jug after you slow down,?" If so nothing to be concerned about. You can also do a coolant pressure test as an easy diag. Pump up to the cap rating (Usually 10-13) and let sit for awhile or overnight and see what happens. Tool Is a cheap Investment and just connects to your heat exchanger where the radiator cap resides.
