In the middle of rebuilding rudders and decided these where not going to do.
Not sure of the official name so I call it a rudder arm.
This 68 rudder arm from the Commander 31' looks as it may have issues.
Any sources out there? Maybe somebody has them? 6 1/2" with 3/4" square port. Thanks for looking.
I would be tempted to bead blast or wash with a dilute phosphoric or boric acid solution, rinse and soak in baking soda then rinse, dry and maybe paint.
A possibility for new would be Earl the Pearl. I didn’t find a quick link, whoops, here it is https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.facebook.com/chriscraftparts/&ved=2ahUKEwj4zoLSoKyFAxV9PEQIHWUhDLQQFnoECCAQAQ&usg=AOvVaw1rJmk437oAEQiBJa3-WP25
As Tim mentioned you may want to clean and inspect. If they do need replacement you may want to consider the original sources for many Chris Craft items. They may still have them and still around after 100 years.
