Who have people used in the past for this. I tried to search the topic...I was thinking the company was Coech (Koech) or similar. Google struck out also.
Thanks in advance.

Generally a complete restoration consists of: complete disassembly, test, clean, lubricate the movement, reface the gauge, repaint the pointer and re-calibrate the movement. The case is bead blasted, white zinc plated or repainted, any light filters are replaced. All glass is polished unless it has silk-screening-then it is replaced. any inner bezels are repainted and the bezel(s) are re-chromed
Mine look origional but have been converted to electric. Anyone know what company may have done the conversion? I don't believe there were any electronic ones in 1968.
I had set converted about 9 years ago, very expensive $800+ for both tachometers. Unless you are trying to preserve the classic look of the instrument panel which I was, I recommend replacing with a top brand tachometers such as Faria or SW.

I used Mark Clawson 2 years ago, do not think anybody could do a better job. His work is top notch, plus he is a really nice guy to deal with.

Wesley, it could have been Kocian Instruments http://www.kocianinstruments.com
Many used them over the years. As you can see from previous posts others are now also providing this service.
