Club events are held when/where volunteers come forward to be local hosts. We host national rendezvous on odd numbered years and regionals on even numbered years.
What is a Regional? Ideas about how Commander Owners could meet face to face:
A raft up
A weekend meet at a marina or yacht club
A one day meet
An off the water event at a restaurant or other venue
An organized gathering of Commander owners at another event like a boat show
A main difference between a Regional Rendezvous and a National Rendezvous is the level of Executive Committee assistance and involvement as well as the activities provided. The main purpose - getting together and having fun!!
Also if you are going to attend any type of boating event in your area, you could do a post here and let other Commander owners know and ask them to join.
Check out the Antique & Classic Boat Society Events Calendar https://acbs.org/calendar/ Many of their events include classic fiberglass boats.
I can provide you with more information if you would like to organize something, please send an e-mail to me at rendezvous.commanderclub@gmail.com
Thank you, Charlene, that was amazing. Great information now I understand. We keep our boat in Kittery, Maine and would love to get together with other classic Chriscraft boat owners. Let me think about it and maybe I could put something together. Even if it’s just a meet up at a marina. Thanks again.
