On this site - Under resources - click vendors. Then use the dropdown menu under Select topic or subject. Choose gauges. Some of these vendors may be able to help.
I am also interested in Stewart Warner gauges for my 66 38. Just looking at how straight forward these gauges are, it seems like they'd be simple to rebuild. Is there a kit a guy could buy, or do I need to send these off for repair? I'm guessing I'll need to install temporary ones being that I'm at the beginning of the season. Anyone know of a direct replacement (temporary)? Thanks!
Rebuilding these gauges does take some practice to get right.
In order to open them the bezels need to be very carefully uncrimped .
The cards will need to be stripped and refinished and the inside of the glass needs to be slik screened with the numbers and tick marks.
It's much more of an art than it may appear.
Putting them back together, you have to carefully re crimp the bezels . The chrome shop will need to be very mindful of the thickness of the plating as too thick will most definitely chip and crack during crimping .
Your best bet is to have them done professionally.
While they are opened up the movements can be upgraded to electronic instead of all mechanical.
My gauges are find but the part I need is the sending unites the part that screws into the engine block.I don't know the part number of this part and don't know where to buy it from thanks for any help
I'm pretty sure it was Stewart Warner that made them for CC in those years.
Possible sources for those parts:

I've been searching for temp sending units also. The 1960's silver gauges were made by Stewart Warner
Contact Kocian Instruments in the vendor area. They will have them. You will need to know the temp range of the gauge (IE: 100-250 etc)
