I purchased her in 2014. Prior owner owned since 1999. Prior owner was a very capable owner with high standards. He was a cabinetmaker by trade. Complete custom interior refit and exterior upgrades were completed during his ownership including the Cummins repower and Kohler genset.
I am also a hands on owner with high standards. I am a mechanical engineer and I work remotely with Tony Athens and Seaboard Marine as a marine technical consultant. Needless to say, this boat has undergone numerous mechanical and electrical upgrades with no expenses spared.
The 330B’s look and perform flawlessly. The engine room is kept dry due to Wolverine oil pan heaters and properly placed engine room ventilation and above average TLC.
The engines benefit from the following:
Custom alarm system that monitors coolant temperature, wet exhaust temperature, oil pressure, and gear oil pressure.
SMX raw water pumps (overhauled by Seaboard Marine 2017)
SMX enviro-vent CCV system (2017)
SMX 160deg hi-flow thermostats (2016)
SMX double fuel filtration with squeeze bulb priming and double vac gauges (2018)
SMX custom risers and surge tubes and new turbos (2016)
SMX engine mounts (2020)
Combo blocks and fuel coolers removed
Sendure heavy duty gear coolers (2015)
Regular aftercooler servicing the Seaboard Way
Idler pulleys upgraded.
The 330B’s are rated at 2,800 and they are propped for 2,900 and they make rpm’s with zero smoke and zero hesitation. This hull is an easy planing hull. Trim tabs are never needed.
Tachometers are the Aetna digital LCD tachs that have been verified with a laser tach to be dead accurate. I also have the original VDO take-outs to show the engine hours before the Aetna’s were installed.
The Kohler genset is powered with an 1,800rpm 3-cyl Yanmar. At 75% load she burns less than 0.5 GPH. She’s equipped with a custom soft cover, the Super Silencer by GSI. No metal parts and easily removed in sections as needed. The genset is equipped with the Engine Watchdog for monitoring coolant temperature and wet exhaust temperature including user setpoint audible alarms for both. Last year I removed the exhaust manifold for cleaning and reinstall with new thermostat and mixing elbow. No issues just preventative maintenance along with heat exchanger servicing. In 2017 the genset got a new Racor 230RMAM fuel filter water separator.
The port & starboard engines have dedicated Grp31 Deka’s (2020). The genset has a dedicated Deka Grp 27 (2024) and the house is comprised of four 6V Interstate Golf Car Deep Cycle Extremes (2019) in series/parallel. The three crank batteries and the house bank are all monitored for battery terminal voltage via a custom digital voltmeter panel. The house bank is charged via a Blue Seas ACR for which I have installed a 3 position switch for (Open/Auto/Close) and an LED status light.
Battery charger for the house is an Iota DLS-55amp with IQ4 smart technology.
Battery charger for the 3 crank batteries is a Marinco 30amp (10/10/10) smart charger (2016).
A new Ancor 8/3 AWG shorepower home run was installed 2019. There is a new Blue Seas 30A Main a few feet from the shore power connector and another Blue Seas 30A main at the salon AC/DC electrical panel cabinet.
All new square-D AC breakers (2016)
During the winter of 2020/2021 I completed a custom refit of the AC/DC distribution at the salon cabinet. Blue Seas 22 Position DC Panel w/ 100A main breaker, amp meter and voltage meter. This refit also included a Blue Seas AC Main source selector for shore power & genset including two AC voltmeters, one for shore and one for genset. Blue Seas ACR 3-position switch and LED status light.
Some DC circuits were replaced with new runs and the DC circuits that were reused were terminated at a terminal strip fed by the new DC panel, no butt connectors.
To accommodate the new 100A DC panel, new 2/0 pos and neg main feeder cables were ran back to the house bank. On the pos cable this included a new 150amp ANL fuse block and chafe protection loom.
Also included at the salon electrical distribution cabinet is a Victron 350W (new 2019) inverter that is wired into the new Blue Seas DC Panel.
Six 4” 7W 500 Lumens LED lights in the engine room (2022)
There is an onboard WiFi network that includes a Bullet M2 antenna, Linksys router and Smarthings hub. Connected equipment includes a salon camera, engine room camera and bridge camera. There are multi-sensor monitors in the engine room, salon and stateroom for temperature, humidity, motion, etc. The TV is bracket mounted 2019 24” Vizio flat panel smart TV that is hardwired to the router. Pioneer stereo unit that includes wireless remote control and 4 speakers (2 salon, 2 bridge). The TV also includes and HDMI drop from the bridge to display the Garmin on the TV. The TV is run on the inverter when off shorepower. Very handy when sitting on the anchor in anchor-watch mode to monitor your swing and position and also to watch the chart/sounder when on the drift.
Bose Sound Bar (2023) to connected to the TV and is also a Bluetooth device for playing audio/music from your phone or other Bluetooth device. Includes remote control.
Electroncs upgrade completed 2015 to include Garmin 7612XSV, Twin GT50M chirp through hull transducers for traditional sounder and sidescan, NMEA 2000 network, ICOM M506 at the helm plus the ICOM command Mic down below in the salon for bridge to salon communication and full VHF access from the salon, and Simrad autopilot. Autopilot was a complete new install including the AP24 display & computer, RPU80 pump, RC42 Rate Compass and Rudder Feedback unit. The autopilot and Garmin communicate via the N2K network for navigating to waypoints, etc. The ICOM VHF is an AIS unit and that communicates via the N2K network to display AIS vessels on the Garmin chartplotter. The Garmin is a also equipped with the GPS 19x external receiver via the N2K network.
There is also a stand-alone second chartplotter, the Garmin 2010c with antenna mounted external receiver. Radar is a stand-alone Furuno 1731 Mk3.
The electronics overhead box has a new distribution bus bar fed by a dedicated circuit from the new Blue Seas DC Panel in the salon.
There are two Ram mounts at the helm, a smaller one for smartphone and a larger one for tablet.
All interior cabin lighting is LED. The bridge includes LED spreaders, red/white dome light and an LED anchor light that includes a swivel base to swing it down for clearance if needed. The spreader lights can be controlled from the bridge or from the down below in the salon.
New red and green shark eye nav lights (2021) and stern light unit (2015)
The windlass is the Lewmar Pro-Series 1000. Greased and resealed in 2021. Ground tackle is a 35H Danforth (35lb Hi-Tensile), with 175ft of G4 5/16” chain (2014) backed up with 150ft of 9/16” Samson Pro-Set 3-Strand with a tapered backsplice. In 2017 I installed a Lewmar wireless remote system with the 3-buttom remote control.
There is a high water bilge alarm and two bilge pumps. An engine room blower controlled from the bridge or down below. Bonding system rewired and serviced in 2016 including bus bars and transom zinc. Between 2016 and 2017 the thruhulls and seacocks were replaced for the head in, waste discharge, air conditioning, gensent and saltwater washdown. The saltwater washdown seacock in closed and plugged as this system is not used. The air conditioning seacock also received a new Buck Alq rectangular scoop strainer with removable screen. I drilled and tapped it to accept a doka style zinc. The engine 2” seacocks were replaced at the time of repower. They also include rectangular scoop strainers with removeable screens and outfitted for zincs.
In 2016 the waste plumbing was also redone with new Trident 101 Premium Heavy Wall SanitationHose and Forespar Marelon Y-Valve. The holding tank is approx 25-30 gallons and is a poly tank with PVC pump out plumbing. There is an overboard macerator plumbed into the tank and that was replaced in 2015. The Y-valves allow the head to go to the tank or direct overboard, when it is legal to do so.
The Head is a Jabsco 37010 series electric macerating unit. I installed an updated base and a new electric motor in 2016.
Freshwater is via two side by side cross-connected poly tanks that are approx. 35 gallons each. A Johnson Aqua Jet 3.5GPM, 25/41psi freshwater pump was installed in 2019. Hot & Cold spigots in the cockpit for showers and washdown. Hot water via a 110V electric water heater.
A/C & Rev cycle Heat via a 16K btu Marine Air Unit w/ March LC3 Pump.

Bunks to port and stateroom forward.
Hey Rob she Beautiful have the same year model. Located in Bay shore would love to compare notes one day. I went with Cat 3116 325hp was thinking about cockpit door and swim platform did you have that done locally or did it already have it?
Hello Bobby. Good stuff. Thank you! I have slips in C. Moriches and in the Peconic. She's in the Peconics until early Oct. The platform was installed when I purchased her back in 2014. The door was completed by a local fiberglass specialist who was a friend of mine and I work directly with him during the project.
Thank you for the info, may I ask for his information? Do you lay up at Seaborn for the winter? If so I’ll love to check it out there.
Unfortunately he is no longer with us. We did my door back in 2015. He passed away three years ago. Sad.
Tenacious winters at Senix Marine in C. Moriches.
