Any ideas how to minimize the mess while changing engine oil coolers? Should the engine oil be removed? 454 CC engines.

Filter, maybe?
Hi Tim, No, the oil cooler. I believe they are original (blue paint on them), so I figure they are due plus I'm sure the hoses should be updated as well and may be a good time to relocate the remote filter. I can see a very slight drip of water where the cap is soldered to the tube - so a little worried. The engine oil cooler runs along the port bottom of the block with a hose running to the transmission cooler on the other side of the engine.
