Can you all point me to the quickest place to get gaskets for these risers and manifold on 454 port engine 1973 36’ tournament fish, also the gasket for the water fitting at top front of motor - you’re probably going to say Amazon lol
It looks like the exhaust manifolds were replace with the Barr type. They used the same gaskets on their three and four inch risers. Michigan Motorz should have them.
The part number for the Barr riser gasket is 1-0107 for raw water cooled (open water passages) and 1-0105 for the closed cooled (blocked off water passages).
Mercruiser Center riser gaskets and you will need blocker plates as those mans are closed cooling. All are available at Ebasicpower.com Text me for details if you need help. I know a little something about these. One gasket each side and a metal blocking plate in the middle.
@Lee Dahlen i'm going to clean and reuse the metal blocking plates as they were in good condition and i was able to find the gaskets easily.... still can't find the thermostat housing gasket - literally ordered 3 wrong ones, gone to marine power who keeps pointing me to EMP 280153, i did order one from amazon that seems like it might work but its strange with silicone and such... so strange because its a common part (see other thread!)

yess they are barr.
A standard thermostat housing gasket is used on the 454. Can use a Crusader or Merc one from any Marine store.

@Whitney Pillsbury Its really weird and I answered the other thread. When I get frustrated I just cut my own from the blue silicone type paper at Autzone/Adavnce. I have a gasket cutting kit from amazon for the bolt holes which Is a god send.
