Regarding the Original 47' Commanders built in Pompano Florida, how were the three (3) pieces of hull fastened together ??? We're the two (2) hull sides bolted at the hull bottom quarter foils and then further laminated with fiberglass using polyester resin ??? . . . or epoxy resin ??? I have noticed a type of "filler" product or a "faring" product along the hull quarter foil seams, while doing a repair ??? Any insight is much appreciated from you really well informed members please ??? Further and specially, how were the fiberglass decks and also the fiberglass cabin structures fastened to the fiberglass hull and then the seams "filled" or "fared" please ??? Another question regarding a rare item on my year 1972 47' Commander, what was originally installed along the port side main salon lower wall, next to the original heavy couch, which, from the factory, has a hinged section of a well constructed boxed wall cover with a hook system ??? . . . Was it an original scroll type, long roller blower fan behind this hinged boxed wall section??? . . . or what was it ??? . . . it is gone but electrical connections are still present now ??? . . . it was definitely an original factory item behind this well constructed hinged and boxed matching wall section ??? . . whatever it was ??? . . . Thank you, in advance, for your continued consideration and time. With kind regards, Mark Patrick Hillman, proud owner of a year 1972 Chris-Craft 47' Commander with the original, AWESOME, Detroit Diesel 8V-53 marine engines with approximately 1,100 original hours.
