Fellow Commander Enthusiasts,

Much like our beloved Commanders, the recent club announcements are sure to turn heads!  Since being voted into our positions at the beginning of the year, the Executive Committee and I have been quietly working together to bring closure to a number of items.

These items; the incorporation of the club, redesigned website, logo, “The Helm” newsletter, and the new Code of Conduct for the forum have all been put in place to ensure the club’s future, and to make a better experience for all.

We’re looking forward to this summer’s spectacular Big River Rendezvous in Dubuque, IA, the next issue of “Styled in Fiberglass,” and some other goodies. In the mean time, we hope you enjoy the new look and feel of the Chris Craft Commander Club – The place for great Commander information, and lasting friendships!

Sincerely,

Chris Orphal
Chief Commander
Chris Craft Commander Club

The Great Commander Model Photo Hunt

One of the major features of the new Commander Club Site is the Models section. It is an attempt to compile basic figures on all fiberglass Commander models from 1964 to 1972. The objective of this section is both to enlighten present owners, but also to work as an introduction to all people turning to our site for advise on selecting a suitable Commander model.

The section got off to a got start, but we need help with more photos. Therefore, if you got a nice high resolution shot of your Commander please share it with us.

New Website at Your Service

If you are a regular visitor you will no doubt notice that the club website is completely redesigned. But more importantly, there is lots of new content and features that you will like.

The new website design was created by none less than your faithful Commander Club Webmaster. How appropriate that I own a 31´Commander named Web Commander! Little did I realize that I would one day be webmaster of the Club when I bought the boat on the net in 1998, but that's another story.

Please let me know what you think of the site. Suggestions are highly appreciated!
