Welcome Everyone!

We are excited to be hosting the 2008 CCCC Rendezvous here is beautiful Delray Beach Florida, thanks for all the encouragement we got from the Executive Committee and a number of individual members as well.

The main attraction at this year's Rendezvous will be the Ft Lauderdale Boat Show which is a 25 minute drive south. It should be a great place to meet up with your fellow Commander nuts, enjoy some sun, and marvel at the fact of how well our aging fleet stands up to some of the new boats being offered up!

Right now we are busy planning all details and as they become available we will publish everything right here at CommanderClub.com. Hopefully it will help you do your planning easier to have all information gathered in one place.

Tentative Rendezvous Itinerary

Thursday, 30 October

Early arrivals gather in Delray and do some sightseeing.

Friday, 31 October

Registration and meet and greet at the Colony Hotel. Come early and spend the day getting to know new faces and seeing familiar ones from meets past.

Visit to the Ft Lauderdale Boat Show at your convenience.

Dinner at Boston’s on the Beach, approximately $35 per head tax & tip included.

A short program including guest speakers, presentation of THE COMMANDER CLUB HALL OF FAME AWARD, THE COMMANDER CLUB SERVICE AWARD, and THE COMMANDER CLUB AWARD OF DISTINCTION. There will also be door prizes, 50/50 raffle and an auction. All proceeds to benefit the Commander Club.
 

Saturday, 1 November

Registration and meet and greet for late comers.

Take the day Saturday to go to the boat show or enjoy the boats, talk to fellow members and go for rides offered up by captains of Commanders that make the trip.

Sunday, 2 November

Breakfast buffet at the Marriott Sunday morning. Feel free to spend some more time at the hotel talking with members and seeing the Commanders off as they head back to their home ports.

Introducing the 2008 Rendezvous venue:

The Colony Hotel & Cabana Club

The main hotel and for the Rendezvous and many of the associated activities will be the Colony Hotel & Cabana Club on Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach. It has its own private beach one mile south of the Marriott.

Atlantic Avenue is the main street in Delray Beach. Four blocks West is the intercoastal with the Delray Beach Yacht Club one block south.  The dock master is a friend of mine and has said slips will be available.
