Comments:

This is perhaps the most tricky Commander of all to identify correctly, at least without the serial number as a point of reference and the Essential Guide mentioned below. First of all it was available with three different layouts; single stateroom, double stateroom, or fishing cockpit. The model also went through two major upgrades; one in 1969, and another one in 1970, both resulting in new serial numbers.

47' Commander Tiger owned by Jack & Ida Cooper, Michigan. Jack and Ida has owned the boat 21 years and counting. Tiger home port is in Holland Michigan, not far from the site where many Commanders were built.
